Ciao fratelli,

Our outreach team is in town and we have an outreach tomorrow night with them in our neighborhood, actually on the stage behind our house.  We will clean the place up during the day, then in the afternoon when the kids get out of school we will do some bball, games, a ping pong tournament, bbq some dogs and burgers and then have a little concert and share the gospel.  Please be in prayer accordingly.

On the building situation we are on a holding pattern with a new building.  Basically we continue to run into demands for excessive guarantees for payment such as a years rent in advance and so forth.  We will probably make a counter offer and let it ride.  God is God.  Please pray for wisdom and patience.

Robert is back to work and taking it a bit easier.  Chantal had a great praise report with prayers answered regarding her job.  After several years of battling to be transfered due to awful conditions and bad treatment, God did it.  She is much more at peace.  Praise God.

Negist is doing better.  Still some issues with the dog and the bite and so forth.  Pray for her.

Roy, Amy's dad is doing great.  He is walking more and more and doing well in therapy.  They are hoping that he will be walking out of the hospital on his own tomorrow.  Amy asks for prayer for organizing the house and things to best serve Roy and everybody all together.  Keep Stefano in prayers too as he goes through all of this long distance and misses his amore.

Pray as we work on the Marriage conference detail bit by bit in the midst of everything else.  Pray for the book to get published in time.

Love and appreciate you all.

Hi all,

Real quick...

Roy is doing great and has been moved closer to home.  After 24 days of being in bed he has taken steps and impressed the therapists.  Praise God.  Please keep lifting him up.  He's not out of the woods yet.

Robert too is home and doing good.  His blood pressure is under control and he is on meds now.  Monday he will be back at work for two days in a non demanding position but pray for what follows.  Our prayer is that he gets a nice fork-lift job or that they keep him in the position that they promoted him to for the summer but give him the same hours Mon - Fri instead of bouncing him around and changing his shifts every other day.

Negist feels much better and is on her feet.

Lidia needs prayer for a job and for the health of her father.

We want to pray for Vlady's wife Olga to get her documents to come to Rome.  Praise God for Vlady's new job starting in October as well as his reconciliation to his father after quite a horrendous childhood.  His dad is in the hospital in the Ukraine with cancer.  It doesn't look good so far but pray for healing and his salvation.

A major praise for us.  Our PERMOSSO's are in.  Those are our documents and permission to live here which ultimately and mainly now will allow us to get our Italian drivers licenses Lord willing.  Pray for that please.

On the building, the short of it is that the owner backed out.  There is an African church in the same buildings where we were looking that hasn't paid rent in 6 years.  That made our owner nervous and his attorney dug up some things on evangelical churches, rulings etc... in Italy that wasn't so encouraging, so we walked away from it.

We are now looking at another one nearby.  It is way smaller but we need to start somewhere.  We put in a request with the agency that manages it and the owner has 15 days to give us a yes or now.  Thanks for continuing to pray with us.

Hi all,

Another down turn on the building front.  Today we got a call from the Landlord saying he wanted to not rent to us anymore.  Evidently, something that his attorney turned up about renting to Associations and perhaps a lack of recourse should things not work out.  We are not exactly clear on what the deal is but will try to talk to the attorney tomorrow and Raffaele, the owner, one last time.  Please pray for God's will to be done.  That is all we want.  In the meantime, we have to consider other buildings.  We really wanted that one, but if God says no, then we want to move forward according to His will.  Pray that our hearts would not faint, nor our faith fail.  May God give us clear and decisive indications on how to react and when.  We know the Lord is good and trust Him to lead us according to His purposes for the greater blessing of all.

Robert is home and doing good.  Resting, walking, eating food with no salt!!  God bless him!

Roy is much better it seems and will be transfered back up to the area where his house and family are.  He still needs great strength and grace for progress so he can get the physical therapy that he needs.  He was in bed for about a month but Amy said it was great to and enjoyable for them all to see his feet hit the floor.  May God give him hope to anchor himself to and press on, getting better and better.

Negist is better too.  Still needs a final bump over the hill to be back on her feet and back to work.

Be praying for Sherry, one of our friends mom who is in the hospital in California.  I forget the initials of the diagnosis but it is a toxic issue that needs healing for sure.  The Di Cesare family has blessed us for years with out website design as a ministry to us and the love for the Italian people.  Please pray for them during a hard time as the economy and job issues press in on them.

We now have Jon Martin here with us doing an internship for the next 6 months.  We are glad he is here.  Pray for grace to adjust and adapt, learn the language, plug in and serve and be a blessing to the body.

Next week we will have a team from CC Triad in N.Carolina.  Pray for their travel, unity, safety, divine appointments, fruitful outreach, and all to be encouraged.  The city denied us some permits we wanted to do an outdoor concert at a city theatre so pray against the enemy and for favor and grace in dealing with bureaucracy.   We will be doing some literature distribution in the new zone of the church, inviting people to services, reaching out to the youth, maybe some building remodel Lord willing, as well as some good ole neighborhood clean up.

Also be lifting up our Marriage Conference October 25-26 with Ken Ortize.  Pray for wisdom as we organize and administrate our way in that direction.  Pray for Rome churches and pastors to be stirred concerning the importance of this issue in the body of Christ and for many to attend and have their marriages blessed and strengthened.  Pray for teams to solidify, unite, and arrive safely to help as we serve the body.

Thanks for interceding.  May God do exceedingly and abundantly above all that we ask or think, both here in Rome, and in your lives too.

Hello praying saints,

Thanks for all of your prayers to date.  God is, and has been working.  What a great God we serve!!

Robert is out of prison, I mean the hospital rather,  and is at home.  Basically, not much discovered.  His heart is good according to all of the blood work and tests they did, perhaps tired, as they put it.  But, no major find for a cause.  Likely hereditary we suppose.  He is home and appreciates greatly all of the concern, love and prayers sent his way.  Pray for him to take these next couple of weeks easy and do what the doctors ask of him.  Robert needs grace to know when and how to say no to people calling, wanting fellowship, counsel and so forth.  I believe they have told him that now he has to follow a more strict diet, lose some of that over 40 belly, and get more consistent exercise.  Pray for God's grace and discipline in all of these things too.

Amy's dad is better too, Praise God.  He is very tired and very weak though.  The prayer now is for strength for Roy.  Once he gains enough strength he can be  transfered and begin therapy.  They need him to be at a certain level before they can get him in Therapy.  Amy says that he has been somewhat consistent in these past 3 days with eating and being coherent when he is awake, but still sleeps a lot (somewhat normal for such a brain trauma).  May God do what only he can do, strengthen, encourage, heal, bless, help and lead.

Negists do(g) bite is better but still is painful and has kept her off of her feet and away from her work duties for the last several weeks.  Pray for total healing of the wound and for her to re-adjust back into the groove of work etc...

Our meeting with the owner and his attorney was postponed today at the request of the attorney and her scheduling from what I understood.  We should see them tomorrow or Friday.  Please keep that in prayer.  Lots of little details and intricacies that only God can cover us on and give us wisdom for.  Lord willing that we should be able to sign the contract by the first part of next week, we will need to have quite a bit of cash to cover first and last months rent,  one month's worth rent for the deposit, as well as various other expenses.  So far we have seen just over half of that amount (e 4000) provided for, but still need more.  Do pray!  If you are among the few that aren't experiencing too much of a pinch financially at this time and you feel led to give, there is a special account set up at CC Boise for the building fund.

To those of you who support us monthly or may be helping with the building and such, I have recently been kindly corrected concerning who the checks need to be made out to.  Make checks payable to CCM with Italy in the memo.  Somehow we were missing a "C" in the CCM.  If you want it to go specifically to the building as a one time donation or monthly help on the rent, attach separately a note with "building" or "The Vine" which is our association name in Rome.  That way those funds won't end up buying supplies of diapers or something :), but will go directly to the administrative side of ministry as opposed to our personal needs.

We will get out an update soon.  Thanks for your faithfulness to the Lord, to us, and to CC Rome.  Please pray for the body in this time of transition.  Some, naturally, have stopped coming.  We pray it is only temporary but we know that change is difficult too.

If you ever have any questions regarding the ministry here please feel free to email us and ask.

Good morning Saints,

Unfortunately this a.m. Rome time we got some disappointing news on Roy's (Amy's dad) situation.  Evidently after being too sleepy and losing strength they managed to get another Brain Scan.  They did find that the internal bleeding had started again.  It doesn't appear to be much from my understanding but we need God to heal.  Roy just could not handle a major brian surgery in his weakened and frail state.

Please be lifting him up as the Lord leads.

Father we ask that you speak your mighty Words of healing upon Roy.  We know that nothing is hard for you.  Though with man much seems impossible, all things are possible with you.  Help us to trust you and believe in and count on your goodness.  Show great mercy and deliver Roy as only you can.  Stop the bleeding and heal over that wound as though it had never happened if you are willing.  We need your comfort, your strength, and your faithfulness in this time.  Bless Amy, Shelly, Jim and the kids.  Be with them in presence and power.  Let your love rest upon each of them.  Give doctors and nurses wisdom and attentiveness to know how to proceed and react.  Be sovereign over every detail.  You are our God and we love you and trust you.  Help us in our unbelief.

In Jesus' Name we pray,

Amen

Thanks for your prayers.
