Hello brothers and sisters, Blessings and holiday greetings to each and every one. We hope this email finds you fighting it out, standing in grace, and enjoying the simple blessings that the Lord brings your way each day. We are seeking to do that very thing. God is good despite the fact that our struggle with powers and principalities, and the flesh can just be totally obnoxious at times. Praise God who always leads us in triumph for His glory.
Tonight we have a concert outreach with several young Christian bands from Rome, one from our church. Please pray against the enemy. May God give us great grace and strength, wisdom, love and tons of joy as we seek to reach into a new community. This will be our second concert outreach in Tor Bella Monaca. The first one was right behind our house. This one is more central to the zone, right beneath lots of government housing and next to a mall where lots of teens hang out. By God's grace we got permission from the city to use a sort of older film room/theatre. May the Holy Spirit lead people in and speak to hearts as only he can. Pray for the bands and what they communicate, for boldness for all believers to reach out and meet new people... particularly non-believers. May hearts be touched, torn, saved, lifted up. Pray over the set up, sound checks, all of the interaction. This is a good opportunity for a couple of different youth bands and youth groups to interact as the body of Christ as well as reach the lost. We'll get started around 7:30p.m. and will go until at least 10:30. Pray for safety and a peaceful event. Pray for the message, the messenger, and light to shine in dark hearts.
This is our first outreach right under the doorstep of city hall. We pray that all would go well, that we would have a positive impact and that we can build a good relationship for open doors in the future.
Lastly, please pray for our son Brayden. He has had a fever for two days, not sleeping well at night. He had a vaccination a week or so ago and they warned us that this would probably hit as a risidual, but it seems to be dragging on more than we anticipated.
In case we don't get out any news before the holidays come and go, please know that we love and miss you all greatly. We can't express enough all of our appreciation for the support, prayers, encouragement, and love that so many of you have graciously shown us throughout this past year ... and then some. May more of Jesus be yours this season as there is so much to rejoice over while at the same time there is so much to be broken over. May God have His way in all of us that He would be glorified in these last days by a faithful remnant.
Have a Joy-filled, Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!
Lots of love
